By accessing and availing of the services offered on the CV Upgrade website, you are agreeing to comply with, and be bound by, the following Terms and Conditions of use.

CV Upgrade www.cvupgrade.com , also referred to here using the terms "we", "us" or "our", is the CV services website and CV upgrade business owned wholly and operated exclusively by PFKS Limited with registered offices at 9 Burgundy Court, New Street, Swords, Co. Dublin, Ireland and trading as CV Upgrade. These are expressly the only Terms & Conditions currently in force for our website and services, and access to our website or the acceptance of any our services will be deemed as acceptance of these terms.

"Customer", "Client" or "Candidate" or the term "you" refers to persons who access this website or purchase or subscribe to our products and services as described, presented and marketed on this site.

"Curriculum Vitae", "CV" or "Resume" refer to documents received, edited, written and returned by our CV consultants to and from and on behalf of our clients.

Services

The CV services offered by CV Upgrade on our site are CV Assessment, CV Upgrade Lite and CV Upgrade Premium. The site clearly explains each available service, along with the price of the service and the types of requirements and candidates for whom they are intended. Clients are expected to read the services information before placing any orders.

It is a requirement that a potential CV Upgrade client must have a CV Assessment carried out by us on their existing CV before a paid CV Upgrade service is carried out. The reason for this is that CV Upgrade will always wish to ascertain the quality and fitness for purpose of our clients existing CVs before we assess the particular paid CV Upgrade service that we will recommend to the client.

Please note that our initial CV Assessment service is a free service for European Union (EU) member state residents. There is a charge of €20 for this service for non-EU residents who will be advised of the charge by email before an Assessment Service is undertaken. The Assessment Service will only be undertaken for non-EU nationals who have accepted and prepaid the charge levied for this service for non-EU nationals. The Assessment Service charge of €20 for non-EU residents is fully refundable against any subsequent CV Upgrade service purchased.

Following the CV Assessment stage the lower cost CV Upgrade Lite service will suffice for some clients and be recommended by us to them while the CV Upgrade Premium service may be recommended to clients with complex CVs that in our opinion require a lot of rework. Clients who in our opinion have perfectly good current CVs will not have any of our paid services recommended to them. Clients who choose to take our CV Assessment service are under no obligation to choose one of our paid CV Upgrade services subsequently.

If clients have any questions which they would like answered about our services we welcome enquiries prior to ordering. We would also urge clients to read our FAQ section for an overview of our typical interaction process with a client.

Services Prices

All services prices quoted on our site are quoted in Euro and are inclusive of VAT. We reserve the right to change our prices at any time without notice. It may be that prices are incorrectly quoted or changed due to external circumstances. We have no statutory obligation to sell services at the price quoted online if that price is incorrect.

All payment transactions are facilitated securely online by PayPal, the leading global payment transactions facilitator. All such payments are handled on secure servers by PayPal. Details of our clients credit cards are confidential to PayPal and are not accessible by CV Upgrade.

Refund Policy

When you receive a copy of your new CV from us you will have a 10 working day period, from us emailing you a copy of your new CV for your review, to raise any queries you have on any aspect of your new CV with us. We will make any requested alterations free of charge to your CV in respect of any issues raised within this period.

Client satisfaction is very important to us and if you are not completely happy with the end result of our services after this 10 working day period then we will fully refund the price of your CV Upgrade service subject to a handling fee of €10.

Obtaining a refund is also subject to your payment having been successfully processed by our payments processing partners and hence there will be a delay in receiving a refund of a minimum of 45 days from a refund request while your payment for our services is being successfully cleared and received by us in full.

Client Obligations

All clients undertake that all information/data/documents presented for our CV assessment and upgrade services and on our online forms where data is entered will be free from slander, false, obscene, malicious, offensive, or any other defamatory content or material, or that which impinges upon copyright or registered trademark rights and intellectual property rights which may be deemed to damage the good standing and reputation of CV Upgrade.

Clients must represent and warrant that if you are purchasing paid services from us that any credit/debit card or other financial information you supply to third parties such as PayPal is true and complete, that charges for our services ordered by you will be honored by your credit/debit card company, and that you will pay the charges incurred by you for the services that you have ordered and obtained from us.

CV Formats

CV documents will be produced by our paid CV Upgrade services in different formats and styles and lengths, determined by the type of CV required and the roles being addressed. CV documents are accepted from clients and produced by us in the English language only. CVs for assessment and upgrade services must be sent to CV Upgrade in soft copy in Microsoft Word, Open Office or plain text format and by default will be returned in Microsoft Office Word 2003 softcopy format by email. Hard copies of CVs will not be produced and sent to clients unless by special request and an extra fee will be requested for such a service.

Client Indemnity Declaration

Whilst CV Upgrade shall endeavour to take every reasonable precaution to ensure the quality and accuracy of our services and of any information we provide we cannot be held responsible for any loss, damage, expense, delay or loss of earnings to clients however occasioned by any service or information we provide, even if such service or information is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, negligent, fraudulent or dishonest. All clients undertake to indemnify and hold CV Upgrade and its officers, employees, agents and service providers free from any culpability, expenses, losses and liabilities (including legal costs) as a result of use of information or services offered on our site or conveyed in any other way to clients. Indemnity shall cover any breach of the terms/conditions of use, along with uploads, downloads and reproduction of contents from this site or any linked third party site or other linked online services.

Information contained on, or made available through CV Upgrade and this site is not intended to and does not constitute personal advice or career advice.

Illegal Use Of Our Website

Clients are permitted use of this site for information on preparing CVs and to find information about and order our online services. Clients are prohibited from distributing bugs, viruses or worms or similar programs via forms or documents sent to us or from any actions which may disable or harm our site, our computers and network servers. Clients are prohibited from orchestrating Denial of Service attacks against our website. Clients are further prohibited from gaining unauthorised access to the site, our computer systems or networks. CV Upgrade exercises the right to use outside agencies to monitor, identify and sue any individuals caught with evidence pointing to any breaches as laid out under these provisions.

Copyright

The content, organisation, graphics, design, compilation, magnetic translation, digital conversion and other matters related to the site are protected under applicable copyrights, trademarks and other proprietary (including but not limited to intellectual property) rights. The copying, redistribution, use or publication by you of any such matters or any part of the site is strictly prohibited. You do not acquire ownership rights to any content, document or other materials viewed through the site. The posting of information or materials on the site does not constitute a waiver of any right in such information and materials. Some of the content on the site is the copyrighted work of third parties.

This site is operated and administered by CV Upgrade and its hosting partner from offices in Ireland and Irish law shall govern the interpretation and performance of these Terms and Conditions. Access to the site from territories where the site's contents are illegal is prohibited. If you access this site and avail of our services from locations outside of Ireland, you are responsible for compliance with all local regulations and laws. To the extent that anything in, or associated with, the site is in conflict or inconsistent with these Terms and Conditions, these Terms and Conditions shall take precedence. Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms and Conditions shall not be deemed a waiver of such provision nor of the right to enforce such provision. Our rights under these Terms and Conditions shall survive any termination of this website or of our services offerings.
